Methods to Update Aadhar Card

Online Aadhar Card Update

You can update Aadhar card online easily using the official UIDAI website. You can follow the below steps:

    Step 1: Visit myAadhaar Portal of UIDAI here

    Step 2: Click the "Login" button to log in on the portal.

    Step 3: Enter your 14-digit Aadhaar Number with Captcha code and click the "Login with OTP" button.

    Step 4: You will receive an OTP on your Aadhaar-registered mobile number. Enter “OTP” and complete the Login Process.

    Step 5: On My Aadhaar Dashboard, Choose any one out of these options:

    • Address Update
    • Document Update

Note: Address and Documents are the only 2 things that can be updated online in the aadhar card.

    Step 6: Enter all the information asked on the portal correctly. Upload supportive documents to Update Aadhaar Online.

    Step 7: Pay Aadhar update fees (applicable in case of aadhar card address update).

    Step 8: Download the acknowledgment slip for Aadhar card status tracking.

Note: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the Free aadhaar update deadline till 14 June 2025. You can avail of this free service only on the MyAadhaar portal for online updates.
